Reine Schurwolle ist die Bezeichnung für die vom lebenden Schaf gewonnene und erstmals verarbeitete Wolle. Sie zeichnet sich besonders für ihre temperaturausgleichende Wirkung aus und bietet im Sommer eine angenehme Kühle und im Winter hält sie wohlig warm. Sie kann bis zu 33 Prozent ihres Eigen-gewichtes an Wasser aufnehmen, ohne sich feucht anzufühlen.
